Background

I have been drawn to mind-body practices for most of my adult life starting as a young adult with Ballet and then Yoga. I nurtured a busy life style raising a family, working a very high-stress corporate job and trying to live up to all of society's expectations. Eventually, life caught up with me so I took the opportunity to do a 4-week immersion yoga teacher training and found meditation. It felt weird at first as I wondered who this person was sitting meditating, not the fast-paced, high achiever I imagined myself! But as I surrendered, my heart began to open. As life went on I was faced with some serious health issues and found Qigong. I was looking for a practice that would improve my health. Lucky enough to find Uplift and Ren Xue, I found a mind/energy/body practice with Yuan Qigong but also with Ren Xue, a wholistic practice that has changed my life. My sense of wellbeing, my relationships and my life's purpose have all greatly transformed.

Yuan Gong Level 1 and 2

Certified Yoga Teacher – 200 hr

Portland State University - BA Spanish and Business Administration

American Heart Association CPR Certification

 

Interests and Achievements:

Family is at the center of my life with my husband and 2 grown children.  I enjoy spending time with my extended family and friends, practicing and teaching Ren Xue, cooking, traveling, snow skiing, hiking and boating.   I especially love our beautiful Pacific Northwest of the USA.  Having recently moved to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State, I am enjoying discovering all of the wonderful treasures of the forest, water and mountains!
